Who is Salem York?
I became fascinated by UX design when looking to forge a new path from clinical psychology. Psychology satisfied my analytical and critical thinking skills, but my creative skills were desperate for a chance to shine.
UX has allowed me to utilize both sides of my brain and I have never felt more fulfilled. And the best part? Psychology plays such an important role in UX design. My academic background and natural soft skills give me a unique perspective as a UX designer.
I consider myself a "forever student". I love learning about random stuff and understanding the why and how behind things. I am currently teaching myself Python code and Taylor Swift's "The Man" choreo.
Aside from design, you can find me painting, doing art projects, going to comedy shows and concerts, or finding new mountain views with my dog Juno.
